The Pomeranian Voivodeship stands out for its wealth of natural resources with health potential. Its forests, reserves, and medicinal raw materials make this region unique in both natural and health aspects. Pomerania, with the third highest forestation rate in Poland, constitutes a significant area with special ecological and health values. The region is dominated by reserves protecting old-growth pine, oak, and beech forests, swampy coniferous forests, and acidic Pomeranian beech forests.
The region plays a significant role in bird migrations, especially in winter when species from Arctic areas visit it. Bird watching, as a form of contact with nature, is an effective tool for reducing stress and promoting mental health.
